Hello All!
Please forgive the intrusion—As I am the one to set up webcam contacts on the [last name] end, I wanted everyone to ensure I am taking any and all steps to prohibit any technical failure this coming Sunday(?)
I spoke with [email] this morning and they were able to confirm that the webcam is able to be viewed from the Mac (our web cam compatible computer) via any computer running [email]. They assured me that this is not a Mac vs PC compatibility issue. Secondly, I was able to call on a few helpful friends and they too confirmed that they are able to view the web cam via [email] utilizing the same software/hardware that [daughter]’s computer appears to be using.
[The Ex], I believe the problem in on your end :( I took several real time snapshots of both the Mac and our PC laptop and both confirmed that you were “viewing” the webcam. It appears as though you may have a pop-up blocker inhibiting view of the additional window. I would kindly suggest you confirm the ability to view webcam prior to Sunday (both [daughter] and [Custodial Dad] appeared to be highly disappointed.)
One issue is that Voice chat over [email] is non-existent for the Mac. [email] was unable to speculate when voice chat would become available. I did research several other conferencing softwares however, that would require purchasing two independent editions for both computers. If both parties agree, I would be thrilled to facilitate this further by researching and acquiring a problem free voice/video conferencing software! [The Ex], specifically, what are you running? I was able to “ping” you and identify certain aspects of your system specifications but I find its easier to just ask!
Enjoy the day!
[Step Mother]
