Yes, she said her neck was sore.  Does a sore neck that may or may not have occurred to sleeping position warrant a doctor’s visit? If it is still sore, I will call her pediatrician and let them determine if it warrants a visit.  I trust their judgement.

She is not coughing up mucous, she barely sounds congested.  In the morning, she is coughing which is reminiscent of allergies or a cold.  If the cough warrants medical attention beyond an OTC, I think I would be able to make the determination.  At this juncture, it doesn’t seem necessary. [daughter], herself, said that her illness does not warrant medication.  I trust her to correctly vocalize her comfort level as she is certainly not shy to tell me or [Step Mother] when she is uncomfortable.

Spoke with orthodontist and with [daughter].  She stated the palate extender stopped hurting PRIOR to her arrival home and prior to any adjustment.  She has an appointment coming up and we are all ([orthodontist], [daughter] and myself) comfortable waiting to her alloted appointment.  [daughter] states she is comfortable now.  There are no abrasions, scratches, swelling or tenderness in her mouth according to my observations and conversations with [daughter].

Please address IMMEDIATELY.

New Issue:
[daughter] says her neck hurts- the left side of her neck- from the level of her chin to her shoulder.  There is no reason she suspects it should hurt.
She told [spelled incorrectly Step Mother].
Why do you think it hurts her?  Can you please take her to the doctor?  Why or why not?
Email your decision promptly.

[daughter] still is coughing - she says lots in the morning.  She says mucus and that it was stuck in her throat on call tonight.
I told you this too in email before tonight.
How are you able to know if her lungs are congested and what to do to prevent further congestion, etc.?

[daughter] said she has NOT yet gone to orthodontist... you texted and said she would go.  Why has she NOT been seen?
[spelled incorrectly Step Mother] was to tighten her palate device... Is that sufficient when she had discomfort with the device for ONE week of her holiday here?  Won’t you get her evaluated by the practictioner?
