Glad we caught you to talk with [daughter] this week, [Custodial Dad]. 

Friday was just to share her fair at school. 
She was excited, so we thought you’d want to hear her version of things! 

Saturday was just a post-pinata joy! 
[daughter] thought it was great that you had a similar day of birthdays and car rides! 

After the call she quickly revisited our PM agenda of craft chopping and (more) pizza! 

Seems like the phone calls are fun!  Glad for you both.

Thanks for your texts and emails this week.

We want to reach you when you are available to [daughter].

But, please understand that it is OK if we call impromptu and you are busy.

[daughter] and I have talked about time frames and activities for you guys at home/ work, etc.

She’s understanding as she also watches the time to secure timely arrival to play dates, birthdays, Children’s Theater, etc.!

I respect that 7AM is not good to extend Sunday morning and that Saturday is not a good day for you at this time.

Please let us know when/if that changes.

We will continue to call you for [daughter] to chat. 

At this juncture, calls to you are my suggestion as I evaluate her enthusiasm about something in her day.  I say, “Hey, wanna tell Dad?”  So then we try your phone.

I have made sure [daughter] has had a strong belief in your care and love for her. 

She knows that you not having time at a random call is separate from that.

And I think you do a good job of saying:  “Daddy really wants to listen to your story, but can I call you back..or call me later etc.” It is good. 

[daughter] just states to me: “We can call Dad later, Mom.”  or “He’ll call back soon.”

For the most part, it seems that it is working well.

Well, on to today... sending attached instructions for a boat building  mini kit.

Thought you may want the option of building it with [daughter].  (Not mandatory at all.)

Check e-mail for photos later this week.

[daughter] is awake very early in the morning.

I understand that you were not able to enlarge [daughter]’s artwork and schoolwork I sent you. 
From a tech consult, I understood that digital images would be easier to get and send
(up-loads from phones to computers, etc.).

For now, I will have [daughter] show you her work on the web chat this morning.
I will then follow up with a package or e-mailed samples early this week,
including the packet for next Sunday’s web chat.
